For public benefit and for future generations, as well as for preservation of the habitats of the plant and animal life contained therein, to protect and conserve in perpetuity the scenic landscapes, natural terrain, and native ecosystems of the lakeshore lands, wetlands and adjoining woodlands and open space in and around the Meddybemps Lake watershed.
