Karen Putnam

Board Vice President

Karen Bio Photo.jpg

Since the early 1960’s, the Putnam family have been summer residents of Meddybemps Lake. Frank Putnam Sr. and wife, Dorothy, made lifelong friends and wonderful memories during their Meddybemps summers. Karen first visited the lake in 1987 and fell in love. She and her family enjoy an island camp on the eastern end of the lake. Their island resembles a horseshoe and has abundant high bush blueberries. Karen is currently a Board Member of the Meddybemps Lake Association and and served as President from 2015 to 2017.

Karen is committed to the health of the lake and volunteers with the Courtesy Boat Inspection program on the lake to identify invasive plants. Kayaking is one of her favorite pastimes and you can often sight her paddling around the lake. Karen, dedicated to MLLT’s mission and success, joined the Meddybemps Lake Land Trust in 2021.
