Katrina Cairo

Board Secretary

Katie Bio Photo.jpg

Katrina is a fourth generation “Meddybempster” and has been visiting Meddybemps Lake since she was six months old. In addition to her family’s cedar log cabin on the mainland, Katrina was fortunate to purchase an island on the east end of  the lake in 2015 which looks out on the Moosehorn Wildlife Refuge. As a result, the island gets frequent visitors (including mink, otters, loons, and eagles) much to everyone’s delight. As a mother raising two small children in the heart of Chicago, Katrina sees

having a connection to and cultivating an appreciation of nature as more vital than ever. In her spare time, Katrina enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction novels, playing board games, quilting, and baking.
