MLLT Trails
In 2025, we focused on opened 3 trails (highlighted in red below) for non-motorized public use.

Murray point Trail

Butler point Trail
Butler Point Trail begins at the end of Butler Point Rd and extends into Butler Point for roughly ¼ mile (0.4 km). Another lovely spot to kayak up to. In fact some of Maine's finest fishing guides donated the picnic table here years ago as the perfect spot to enjoy a lunch after a wonderful morning boating on Meddybemps Lake.

Ryan Lake Trail
Ryan Lake Trail - The Ryan Lake Trail is 0.9 mile (1.45 km) long, with 0.6mile (0.97 km) on MLLT property. Runs through the upper parcel of MLLT and out to Ryan Lake. We recommend this as a wonderful kayak beaching spot to paddle up and explore along the trail.

Murray point Trail
Easily accessible from our Parking Lot, Murray Point Trail begins on Butler Rd, runs parallel to Murray Point Rd out onto Murray Point, approximately ¾ mile (1.21 km). Along the way you will also find the American Chestnut Restoration Project Grove with our beautiful and much loved American Chestnut trees. Another possible hike starts at the parking lot and follows Murray Point Trail, then connects to Murray Point Road which will either route you back to the parking lot or south towards Murray Point Beach.
