It's Winter at MLLT but Spring is coming!

Feb 17, 2026- Ryan Lake Trail and the Chestnut Grove are blanketed in snow!


Spring is only 31 days away, and you can see the buds on the Chestnut Trees in the photos below from 2/16/26. Be on the lookout for our spring and summer events, including the new picnic table arriving at Murray Point Beach this spring/summer!



This spring, it will be fascinating and enjoyable to go outside and measure the growth of our trees. Take a look at early budding from 2/16/26!



Below are the Crown Width and Height measurements recorded by Woodland High School Biology students in October 2025. Check back to see the growth of the trees when we conduct measurements again this spring!

Note– The 40 trees varied greatly in height when planted in May 2025, ranging from 61–152cm
